Painting exhibition inspired by Hafez in Tehran

LONDON, June 19 (IranMania) - Sixty paintings by Farah Osuli inspired by the poetry of Hafez will be displayed on October 12 commemorating Hafez Day in Iran, MNA reported.

Osuli, who has not held an individual exhibit for a long time in Iran, said that she finished the paintings a year ago. They took four years to complete and have been showcased in Germany?s Ludwig Museum in Coblenz. They are going to be displayed for the first time in Iran.

Osuli would like to exhibit her paintings in Shiraz, Isfahan and Kerman. However she mentioned that it will be difficult to organize exhibitions in these cities as Iran does not have a transportation system that is appropriate for conveying her works of art and that they might get damaged in transit.

?I love poetry. Rumi, Sadi, Hafez and Omar Khayyam are among my favorite poets. I intend to paint more pictures inspired by Hafez after this individual exhibition in Tehran?, she added.

The venue for the exhibition has not yet been decided.
